A Single Tax To Replace Multiple Taxes
More Simplified Now
It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that a new website (www.gstnoida.gov.in) of the Principal Commissionerate, CGST, Noida, has been made functional. Albeit the need for the website was long overdue, yet with the advent (01.07.2017) of the Goods & Services Tax (GST) regime, and consequent increased interaction between the stakeholders and department, it has assumed greater significance.
The website is aimed to provide relevant data and information to the users in an effective and efficient manner on the laws of the GST, Central Excise, Service Tax, Customs and other allied matters. In order to attain this objective, the website is hyperlinked to the website – www.cbic.gov.in of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC); & www.gst.gov.in of the GST Network, the IT backbone of the GST.
The website is also hyperlinked to the website – www.nacin.gov.in of the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics (NACIN), in order to cater to the training needs of the departmental officers. The importance of the training, especially during the infancy of the GST cannot be over emphasised. Thus this website would provide a useful tool for enhancing skills of the departmental officers as well.
While constructing the website, the endeavour was to keep it user friendly but simultaneously to provide maximum possible information through its ‘search engine’.
With the launch(11.08.2020) of “e–office”- a paperless initiative of the CBIC, the taxpayers can now utilize the electronic means of Communication with the Commissionerate, in the wake of Covid-19 Pandemic at the e – mail id: email@example.com
I urge the trade and departmental officers to use the website regularly, in the era of digital transparency, so as to keep abreast of the current information and securing tax compliance with ease of doing business.
